Recall is still bad

Interesting read on Microsoft’s Copilot+ Recall feature. I think I would turn this off in Corporate builds if they insist on releasing it.

Recall: Stealing everything you’ve ever typed or viewed on your own Windows PC is now possible.
Photographic memory comes to Windows, and is the biggest security setback in a decade.

Never mind the cybersecurity headache. I can see not-very-nice organisations abusing this. Compliance, HR and Corporate legal folk may want to think about Right of Access (Subject Access Requests) with regards to GDPR and Recall. That could be a headache. Ugh never mind data retention policies. Solicitors would no doubt be absolutely delighted to include Recall databases in Litigation Hold orders (that might make not-very-nice organisations think twice actually).

I’d give my time freely to friends and family to scour this from their systems.

Product Dev in Big Tech doesn’t seem to be in touch with reality right now. Bad decisions here.
